Wonderful beach and swimming area. Kid-friendly environment. Only issue: WIFI a bit spotty. Been visiting annually for many years. Continues to have tip-top management.

The personnel at Bayview are great to work with. The units are always very clean and well stocked. Most units have fireplaces, which is a nice touch. The views are great, right on the water. Nice beach area with outdoor fireplace.

My wife and I stayed here for the weekend the place is cozy and tucked off the main road. Very quiet and comfortable. Would definitely stay here again hopefully for longer next time.

I stayed with Bayview Resort last summer and have reservations for this summer. I don't usually take the time to write reviews, but I had to share my experience. If you are looking for an experience that you'll think about all year long... this is where you want to stay (yes, when the snow is flying I am thinking about fishing on the pier with my kids as the sun sets!). We loved that the resort is a bit further north thus a bit more peaceful, BUT is easily accessible to all the action of Door County. The pier and fire place are great spots for family and friends to relax and enjoy each others company! The swim raft is awesome! Do yourself a favor, Bayview is a gem, book a week (or better yet, two) and unplug and enjoy the best that Door County has to offer! The family talks all year long about the memories we have created each time we visit! The staff is accessible, friendly and there to make your stay everything that you imagined. Kevin will even help you plan fun excursions such as sailing on the Edith M. Becker in Sister Bay! The accommodations are clean and well appointed with everything you might need.

I think what gives this place a 5-star review is the view of the lake. The sunsets are unparalleled in northern Wisconsin. The highlights are memorable. The resort features several opportunities for family fun and activity. There is a small well-manicured Sandy beach area with water shallow enough for small children to wade and splash in that is protected by stone from the waves. There is a long well-kept pier that regulars love to jump off of and swim the big raft. Boat docks need to be rented. There's free access to kayaks as well as tennis courts, a small basketball court, tetherball, two frisbee golf goals, a small playground with swings, cornhole, and even a lovely stone fire pit that is often used by several families at night to converse and connect. You can purchase anything you might need at the historic Pioneer store right up the driveway. There is a famous Friday night fish boil at The Viking Grill that is a small Diner. The nice thing about Ellison Bay is that it is close to many fun attractions but not yet overpopulated or crowded. (Walk up to The Clearing and check out the Ellison Bay Bluff) The lodgings are very nice and include amenities such as a full kitchen with utensils, a hair dryer, TV and DVD player, and some even have an indoor fireplace. There is Wi-Fi, though it can be spotty depending on your service. Also, there is access to laundry (you will need quarters) and a small fitness room (older equipment and not very well ventilated but it does the trick if the weather isn't prime for outdoor activity) and there is even a fooseball table. Bay View Resort is well worth every penny. Another upside, everyone is nice. Love, one of the regulars.
